City, Safe and Smart with Technology.

Smart cities should build on the idea that technology must enrich society and the lives of people in ways that are practical. How to dispose off Li ion batteries and lead acid batteries(Car batteries) :The hazardous waste? Disposal of lead acid battery in public spaces as well as in common waste bins is hazardous as, these batteries have H2SO4 in them. H2SO4 can react with substances like metals producing heat and fire. A leakage in the battery may cause explosion. So safe disposal of these is necessary. This idea of safe disposal is to put a separate waste bin for hazardous waste. The bin will have a diluted baking soda liquid. The user could keep the battery on top of the bin; and this will pull it down to, where a solution of baking soda is there. So that H2SO4 leakages in the battery will neutralize to carbon di oxide which extinguishes fire H2SO4(aq) + 2NaHCO3(aq) → Na2SO4(aq) + 2CO2(g) + 2H2O(l) lead will react with Na2CO3 to fo...
