Maldives Under Pressure?

      Maldives is under the political strings now. President Abdulla Yameen declared a 15 day emergency in accordance with the internal political issues. Heavily armed troops stormed the countries top court and even arrested its former president Moumoon Abdul Gayoom at his home.The archipelago was plunged into chaos on Thursday when the supreme court called for the release of nine imprisoned opposition politicians, ruling that their trials were politically motivated and flawed. The government refused to implement the ruling, prompting a wave of protests in the capital, Malé, with angry clashes between police and demonstrators. Maldives is a small ring shaped atoll in the southern most part of Asia famous for its beaches lagoons coral reefs and long coastal areas. Maldives hosts over 417492 people in 2016 as per the World Bank survey and is 298 km2  in area. Its a tropical nation in the Indian Ocean composed of 26 ring-shaped atolls, which are made up of more than 1,000 coral islands. It has the influence of India and China over it being itself a Muslim nation with no or less freedom of religion. People are fighting against each other for this piece of land and exert an influence over it; indeed its a tourist spot and coastal trading center. Male, the capital of Maldives is the worlds fifth most densely populated area in the world.

 Travelers to Maldives are officially banned from bringing alcohol to Maldives from 1st may 2011 and any local person over 18 is considered illegal to buy or drink alcohol being a Muslim. This leads to an unofficial ban of alcohol in the country thought some resorts may have permission to serve it.
